Directions will be provided upon registration.<br \/>\nLed by Dan McRae, ecologist and naturalist with the Macphail Woods Ecological Forestry Project, this walk will explore coastal forests, their vital role in protecting shorelines, and practical ways woodlot owners can support healthy ecosystems.<\/p>\n<p>This event is made possible with funding from the PEI Forested Landscape Priority Place for Species at Risk.<\/p>\n<p>To register: peiwoodlotowners@gmail.com<br \/>\nLearn more: www.peiwoa.ca www.macphailhomestead.ca<br \/>\nFacebook \u2013 Prince Edward Island Woodlot Owners Association<\/p>\n<p><strong>Driving Directions to the Perret\u2013MacKinnon Nature Trust Trail<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Trailhead Location:<\/strong> 46\u00b027&#8217;46.4&#8243;N 62\u00b036&#8217;24.3&#8243;W (46.4629, -62.6068)\u2028Route 336 (Greenwich Rd), near Allie\u2019s Lane &amp; Cable Head Road, Cable Head East, PE C0A 2A0<br \/>\nThe Perret\u2013MacKinnon Nature Trust Trail is protected and managed by Island Nature Trust.<\/p>\n<p><strong>From Charlottetown<\/strong> (55\u201360 minutes \/ 61 km)<br \/>\n1. Leave Charlottetown heading east on Route 2 (Trans-Canada Highway) toward Mount Stewart.<br \/>\n2. Continue through Mount Stewart on Route 2.<br \/>\n3. Turn left onto Route 313 (Greenwich Road) toward St. Peters Bay.<br \/>\n4. Stay on Route 313 until you reach Route 336.<br \/>\n5. Drive east on Route 336. The trail entrance is near the intersection of Allie\u2019s Lane and Cable Head Road.<\/p>\n<p><strong>From Montague<\/strong> (40\u201345 minutes \/ 45 km)<br \/>\n1. Leave Montague on Route 4 North toward Cardigan.<br \/>\n2. Continue following Route 4 toward St. Peters Bay.<br \/>\n3. Turn onto Route 313 (Greenwich Road).<br \/>\n5. Continue until you meet Route 336, then head east.
