2025 Woodlot Owners of the Year Award
The Prince Edward Island Woodlot Owners Association (PEIWOA) is proud to announce that Pat and Carol Binns of Murray River have been named the 2025 Woodlot Owners of the Year.
Join us as we celebrate Pat and Carol’s remarkable achievements and recognize their contributions to PEI’s forests. The presentation will take place on-site at their woodlot, offering attendees the opportunity to see first-hand the results of their stewardship.
This annual award recognizes woodlot owners who demonstrate an outstanding commitment to forest restoration, biodiversity conservation, and sustainable woodland management.
Pat and Carol have spent years transforming their property into a thriving, diverse woodland filled with cedar, maple, birch, oak, spruce, and more. Once-open fields and plantations are now vibrant ecosystems where wildlife abounds.
Their stewardship embodies the goals of the Forested Landscape Priority Place (FLPP) program, highlighting best practices in sustainable forestry while inspiring fellow landowners across the Island.
